About me:

Michele Karas studies poetry and fiction writing in the MFA program at the City College of New York, where she recently received the 2014 Stark Award for Poetry. She has contributed work to several literary journals, including Pea River Journal, Promethean, and Right Hand Pointing. Her poem “Lemon Blossom Lane” can be read in the Spring & Summer issue of Alaska Quarterly Review. By day, Michele works as a professional copywriter, crafting promotional content for bestselling authors, Fortune 500 clients, and her less-wordy colleagues and friends. Together with her photographer husband, Ber Murphy, and two geriatric Sphynx cats, Michele divides her time between Long Island City, Queens, and the little red cottage in upstate New York they call Smallpeace. Thanks, Mel! So sorry we couldn’t host you at Smallpeace this week. My mom’s here visiting and we’ve got a full house. But maybe one weekend soon. Following your adventures when I can, but would love to hear details in person. Xo

So nice of you to say so, Nate. I intend to keep blogging, though the beginning of the year has had many distractions, which I’ll blog about later this week. Thanks for sticking with me! Best.

Love your blog. I am a fairly new blogger and I am always looking to learn from other writers who have blogs. Would you be interested in guest blogging with me? I will contact you through email.

    • Smallpeace says:

Thanks so much for the compliment, herheadache. I am currently traveling in South Africa and will be in touch with you when I return regarding your kind offer of guest blogging. Meanwhile, all the best. M
